City officials and representatives from End Community Violence Now Delaware, the Delaware Department of Justice and Leaders in Transition can all agree. They say that solutions and collaboration are needed to boost security in the capital city, where, as of July 17, there had been 24 shootings so far this year — down from 32 over the same time in 2024.
